© AFP Aerial view shows Jala Tower in Gaza City leveled by an airstrike May 21, 2021 Since the normalization of ties between the United Arab Emirates and the Israeli regime, the two sides have taken advantage of every opportunity, at every turn, to cement their friendship. Inviting the Emiratis to visit al-Quds Mosque in Jerusalem al-Quds and tour the Occupied Territories whilst the Palestinians themselves are faced with restrictions of movement; or hosting the first Holocaust Remembrance Day in the Arab world in the UAE, while political activists are perishing behind bars in the country; these are all tell-tale signs of close cooperation between the two sides, with the main focus on the LAND OF PALESTINE.

Watch: Angry worshippers at Al Aqsa drive Grand Mufti of Jerusalem out

Dubai: Hundreds of Palestinian worshippers shouted at Sheikh Mohammad Ahmad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Occupied Territories and preacher of Al Aqsa Mosque while delivering the Friday sermon at Al Aqsa Mosque yesterday for not speaking about the Israeli attacks on Gaza. A video of the worshippers’ attempts to drive the Imam out of the mosque has gone viral on social media. In the video, many worshippers are heard chanting against Sheikh Mohammad with phrases like Out Out Out  and some obscenities at against President Mahmoud Abbas s Palestine Liberation Organisation. Many social media users accused the mufti of taking sides with the PLO, especially as he was lauding the Palestinian National Authority in Ramallah, including Abbas, ignoring what was happening in Gaza. This seems to have angeredworshipers and prompted them to interrupt him while he was delivering the sermon and expelling him from the mosque.

Photo: Adam Helweh/Flickr CC BY ND 2.0 World6 hours ago Despite how it is sometimes represented, the Israeli occupation of Palestine is not the result of some ancient and illogical sectarian quarrel. It instead emerged in concert with international methods of developing and analyzing land, as many Palestinian scholars, and those working with them, haveshown. Prior to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip in 1967, land management efforts were aimed at clearly defining distinct and separate spaces for Palestinians and Israelis. But this changed after 1967, when the Israeli government began attempts to enforce a single state in both Israel and the Palestinian Territories.
