It was a historical decision in the International law and for the globe that the International Criminal Court (ICC) Pre-Trial Chamber-1 has taken decision to investigate ‘the situation in the state of Palestine’ about the war crimes in the territory of Palestine. The ICC treaty officially went into effect for Palestine on April 1, 2015. The court has clearly decided this gives it jurisdiction over the territory occupied by Israel since 1967, namely Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. On January 1, 2015, the Government of Palestine lodged a declaration under Article 12(3) of the Rome Statute accepting the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC) over alleged crimes committed in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem, since June 13, 2014 .
