U.S. President Joe Biden will appoint Wall Street bank and former State Department official Thomas R Nides to become the country’s next ambassador to Israel, the White House statement on Tuesday.
Nides Morgan Stanley is the fourth largest vice president of U.S. investment banking and served as undersecretary of state under the administration of former President Barack Obama from 2011 to 2013.
It has taken months for Biden to formally nominate his candidate, take an observant stance, and ask some observers questions about what the U.S. president would do about his policies in Israel and Palestine.
