There is also one new historical case to report. Historical cases are not considered to be infectious.  Four previously reported cases have recovered.  The total number of active cases in New Zealand today is 24.  Our total number of confirmed cases remains at 2,262.  Since 1 January 2021, there have been 50 historical cases, out of a total of 446 cases. Western Australia update As announced late last night, Western Australian health officials have advised a worker at a Perth managed isolation facility had tested positive for COVID-19, along with two of their housemates.

Press Release – Ministry of Health The Ministry of Health is continuing to advise passengers who flew from Brisbane to New Zealand last night to monitor their health and if symptoms develop, call Healthline and get a test, following a green zone breach at Brisbane Airport. The risk from this event continues to be assessed as low. Health officials in Queensland have identified Brisbane’s international terminal as a location of interest following yesterday’s green zone breach at the airport and classified anyone in the terminal between 9.45AM local time and midday yesterday (Thursday) as casual contacts and asked people to monitor their symptoms.

The total number of active cases in New Zealand today remains at 23. Our total number of confirmed cases remains at 2,257. Since 1 January 2021, there have been 49 historical cases, out of a total of 441 cases. Testing information The total number of tests processed by laboratories to date is 2,018,845. On Thursday, 5,303 tests were processed. The seven-day rolling average up to yesterday is 3,734 tests processed.
