Nepal probably is the most fortunate nation today. Its population statistics would make any planner or policy maker gasp with excitement. Our average age is 24, which means we are one of the youngest countries in the world. Presently, with around 95 percent of our population in working age or yet to enter working age, we have a golden opportunity at hand.

British Equestrian has inducted a fourth cohort into its Young Professionals Programme, which aims to help young people build a wider skill set to support their personal and career development in the equestrian industry.
The 12-month long
Young Professionals Programme, which is delivered in collaboration with British Dressage, British Eventing and British Showjumping, has been running since 2017. It’s built around a series of interactive workshops with specialist speakers, covering a broad range of topics essential to running a business. These include putting together contracts, understanding employment law, conflict management, insurance and finances, and building a personal brand.

Three hundred and twenty-five days after the last Tokyo prospect had his arm raised in victory, Great Britain’s boxing squad head to Hungary on Friday to restart their quest to reach this year’s delayed Olympics.
The eight-strong squad set to compete in the Bocskai tournament in Debrecen includes Lewis Richardson, the last Briton in action before the Olympic qualifying tournament was pulled prematurely in March, and world champion Lauren Price, whose inactivity stretches even further.

AMATEUR boxing has never experienced a year like 2020. The coronavirus pandemic shut down the amateur sport. It ended club shows and domestic championships. The Olympic Games was expected to dominate this year. Instead Tokyo 2020 has moved to 2021. Two continental qualification events were completed, one was shut down three days into the tournament and the rest still need to be finished.
It wouldn’t be fair to select boxers of the year when amateur competition was so drastically restricted. But honourable mentions should go to Great Britain’s Galal Yafai and Peter McGrail. They secured qualifying places for the Tokyo Games under tremendous pressure mere hours before the European qualifier in London had to be suspended.
