The pro-life chair of the U.S. bishops’ conference on Friday warned that loosening federal regulations of the abortion pill places women’s health “in serious jeopardy.”
Earlier this week, the acting commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that during the COVID-19 pandemic the agency would allow for the abortion pill regimen to be prescribed and dispensed remotely, through the mail or by mail-order pharmacies.
The new policy is a change from the FDA’s standards that have been in place since 2000, requiring the abortion pill regimen to be prescribed and dispensed in-person at a health clinic setting.
AN African music teacher inspired youngsters when he visited a Burnley school. Students from Blessed Trinity RC College, Burnley, were wowed and inspired by the musical talents of South African teacher David Nkosi at a recent international curriculum day. Mr Nkosi, who came to the school from the East Rand School of Arts near Johannesburg, held an African Drumming Workshop for the school s musicians. They then put on a lunchtime concert for fellow students. Head of Creative Arts, Mrs Beth Watson, who secured help from Mr Nkosi, said: I was looking to explore how music is presented to children across the world, and raise our pupil s awareness of cultural differences.
