Your Work On Display
Mesa County artists are encouraged to submit their 2D or 3D artworks. These will be placed on display at the Mesa County Library Central branch in downtown Grand Junction. The event will run from August 20 to October 21, 2021.

Childhood Fantasies
Did you grow up watching the 1966 Batman television series? Wasn t it awesome? According to Wikipedia, television critics Alan Sepinwall and Matt Zoller Seitz ranked Batman as the 82nd greatest American television show of all time.
One of the best scenes involved Batman and Robin emerging from the Batcave in their mighty souped-up Lincoln Futura. Back in the day we thought this was a big deal.
Fact Finding Mission
Just last week I embarked on a search of filming locations from my favorite episodes of Star Trek. One such location was Bronson Caves about three miles outside of Hollywood. Several Star Trek episodes, and even one Star Trek movie were filmed at Bronson Caves. They include:

Early Morning Shenanigans
As you can see, the person is not only trespassing at 4 a.m., but they are walking onto the porch, to the front door, and then going through the mailbox. Fortunately, in this instance, the mailbox was empty.
This Person Looks to be Surprisingly Young
We have no information to offer regarding the suspect. At a glance, though, the person looks to be fairly young. To my eyes, this person appears to be female and a teenager at best.
Between the hoodie and the mask, it s safe to say this person set out this morning with the intent of stealing mail but to do it without being recognized. In other words, a premeditated crime.
