Becker: 3,793, up 5 cases since May 11 (50 deaths).
Clay (Moorhead): 8,141, up 14 cases since May 11 (92 deaths).
Otter Tail: 5,736, up 7 cases since May 11 (78 deaths).

On Friday, May 7, the state reported an additional 1,453 COVID-19 cases, totaling 585,677 for the entire pandemic, and 12 new deaths, totaling 7,216 for the entire pandemic. Becker County reported 80 active cases, a decrease of 12 active cases since Thursday. Otter Tail County reported 65 active cases, a decrease of 17 active cases since Wednesday.

Otter Tail County has more lakes than any other county in Minnesota and possibly more than any other U.S. county so when the county gets ready to rewrite its shoreland regulations, people pay attention.
Overall, the rewrite liberalizes land use policies along the lake, although it does tighten some things up. Land & Resource Management Director Chris LeClair said the rewrite began to make Otter Tail County s lakeshore policies easier to understand for the average home owner.
