House struck by shots fired in Holland Township file photo and last updated 2021-04-18 22:20:30-04 HOLLAND, Mich. — The Ottawa County Sheriff s Office is searching for vehicles after shots were fired that struck a house in Holland Township Sunday night. First responders arrived to the intersection of Beeline and James in Holland Township after reports of shots fired between three vehicles. Police say three vehicles heading south on Beeline near James were involved in an altercaton on the roadway, the cause of which is unknown at this time. Shots from the vehicles hit a nearby house. The house was occupied at the time, but no one was injured in the incident,

Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives investigate Holland Twp. gun fight By Peg McNichol Apr 19, 2021 7:03 AM HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) A rolling gun battle among people in three vehicles is being investigated by Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives. Some bullets hit an occupied home near Beeline and James streets, but no one was hurt, according to Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott. The shooting started just after 7 p.m. Sunday, April 18, 2021, and Knott indicated witnesses saw three vehicles traveling south on Beeline approaching James. The vehicles involved are described as a white Chrysler 300, a dark red or maroon Mini Cooper with a silver stripe along the bottom and a silver or gray Jeep Compass.

Police need public s help in search for woman missing from Marne care facility

Sentinel Staff MARNE The Ottawa County Sheriff s Office seeks the public s help in locating a person missing since Tuesday afternoon. Dixie Ausema, 60, left her care facility, Serenity Homes in Marne, Tuesday, April 6. She was last seen in the area of Ironwood Drive NW and Eighth Avenue. She left the facility without her medication, struggles with mental health issues, and is considered endangered. Ausema is a white female, 5-feet-10, and 250 pounds. She has short, black hair and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. She may be headed to the Grand Rapids area. If you have information on her, please contact the Ottawa County Sheriff s Office or Silent Observer.
