Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds will be making several stops in western Iowa today (Wednesday). Reynolds’ first stop will be in Blencoe along the Missouri River for a ribbon cutting for NEW Cooperative’s Port of Blencoe at 10:30 a.m. The approximately $11 million facility aims to provide increased access to export markets for area producers and adds another form of grain transportation other than by train or semi-tractor trailer. Reynolds then heads to Black Hawk State Park in Lake View at 1:50 p.m. to sign House File 860, a Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 agriculture and natural resources appropriations bill. Her next stop is in Storm Lake. She will be attending the 3:15 p.m. grand opening of a Buena Vista University (BVU) Lamberti Center for Rural Entrepreneurship initiative, known as the Foundry.
