National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang and Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, Communication Officer for the JCF
Minister of National Security Dr. Horace Chang has announced a 96 hour curfew for Central Clarendon, including the community of Effortville where five residents have been killed in the last 48 hours.
Speaking at a media briefing Friday afternoon, Dr. Chang said the curfew will begin at 9 o clock Friday night.
He said the security forces will make every effort to apprehend a number of the critical players out there to allow normality to return.
Dr. Chang has urged the business community to cooperate with the anti-crime measure, noting that while it is bound to disrupt their business, the gang war will do worse disruption to commerce.
