Toronto is finally starting to take advantage of its massive waterfront, with all new trails, bridges, green spaces and an entire neighbourhood on a brand new island in the works.
Among the latest plans for making the best of our shoreline is an all-new park that will provide sandy beaches, public art, space for events and some pretty killer views in the Port Lands.
The park will have a patch of sand to make for a beachy oasis right downtown. Rendering from CreateTO.

A spokesperson for Canada Post later told CP24 that the decision was made in response to longstanding employee concerns that residents “were not wearing masks in the public areas indoors that have to be accessed by mail carriers.” While there was no timeline given for the restoration of mail service Canada Post had said that they were working with building management on a solution and by Thursday afternoon mail was again being dropped off at the building.
