Wartburg continues to headline the most recent edition of the National TFRI that was released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Knights helped their cause this past weekend as they added four new or improved national top-10 marks to their ledger:
Dallas Wright and
Deyton Love are now ranked No. 3 and No. 4 in the 110H at 14.27 and 14.28, respectively;
Derrick Smith improved his seasonal bests in the 100 and 200, hitting 21.28 in the latter and 10.58 in the former for the No. 4 and No. 8 efforts.
UW-La Crosse held steady at No. 2 following a weekend that saw them add or improve three new national top-10 marks. The Eagles’ biggest boost came from
Doane (Neb.) kept its hold on the top spot in the National TFRI. The Tigers snatched one season best at the Bronco Last Chance to add to its haul of top-5 nationally ranked efforts.
Richard Dover improved to No. 3 in the discus with his heave of 51.49m (168-11). He was previously ranked sixth going into the weekend.
Indiana Tech stayed at No. 2 for the third straight week. The Warriors earned three season best efforts that rank within the top-5 nationally at the Pacesetter Sports Invitational.
Jordan Highsmith, already ranked No. 4 on the Descending Order List in the 400, improved his mark to 47.20. Highsmith was also part of the 4×100 that turned in the national leading time of 40.55 and the second-ranked 4×400 (3:13.21).
Wartburg held steady at No. 1, but second-ranked
UW-La Crosse gained ground. The Eagles received four new or improved national top-10 marks this past weekend at the WIAC Outdoor Championships, including a national-leading effort from
Seth Holden in the 100 (10.48) as well as an eighth-ranked mark from him in the 200 (21.48).
Jake Sullivan added his name to the national top-10 in the 400 with his eighth-ranked effort of 48.00.
UW-Oshkosh leapfrogged
Rowan into the No. 3 spot. The Titans shined at the WIAC Outdoor Championships with three new or improved national top-10 marks.
Jonathan Wilburn was the headliner with his substantial 15.67m (51-5) effort in the triple jump, which sent him into the national lead and equaled the 10
