The news has been full of lessons learned from not thinking far enough out of the box. This is not pointing out blame but looking at a degree of imagination. The Georgia Department of Health did a good job of planning for emergencies and disasters, but it never had one that required refrigeration or freezers to handle critical supplies. Texas did a great job of having its own electrical grid but did not challenge the imagination for such severe cold, and look what happened.

Some of you may have heard that the Dawson County Health Department would not give you an appointment for the second COVID-19 vaccine if you did not get the first vaccine from them.
That was not correct. You can get the second vaccine from the Dawson County Health Department regardless of where you got the first vaccine if they have the vaccine available and if they have an available appointment. But right now they are out of vaccines and have a long waiting list.
Officials say that it took just 15 minutes for county residents to fill registration slots for a COVID-19 vaccination event being held at Rock Creek Park in Dawson County next week.
