The Queen has been hailed as “flippin’ ace” following her first major public ceremonial duty since the death of her beloved husband the Duke of Edinburgh.

THE Queen has today opened Parliament in her first official ceremony since Prince Philip s funeral.
The dutiful 95-year-old monarch was supported by her son Prince Charles as she conducted the State Opening at the Palace of Westminster.

The ceremony, which was pared down due to Covid, saw Her Majesty forgo her usual ceremonial robes - instead wearing a lilac outfit.

Where two thrones had previously stood, today just one, as the Queen took her seat for the State Opening of Parliament, her first major ceremonial duty since the Duke of Edinburgh s death.
Her Majesty, 95, the only person present who did not wear a mask throughout, cut a lone figure as she quietly delivered her 67th Queen’s Speech with no one by her side.
