Ronald Eugene Smith, 73, WILMINGTON Ronald Eugene Smith, 73, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, and his youngest son in heaven, Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021. He was born in New Hanover County in 1948. Ronnie was a well-known painter in Wilmington for many years. He was always an outgoing, happy person and would give you the shirt off of his back. He leaves behind his oldest son, Ronnie Eugene Smith; and his grandson, Ronnie Zane Smith. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. The family will have a celebration of life gathering at noon, Saturday, July 17, at Beach Community Church, located at 4th and Cape Fear Boulevard, Carolina Beach.
