NEW ALBUM: Dave Kidd laying down the tracks for his new solo album, at his home studio TM pic
ORGANISING and performing in the hugely successful Lockdown and Loaded online music events last year have inspired one dale singer-songwriter to start work on a new album.
Dave Kidd, originally from Cotherstone, was one of the musicians who entertained hundreds of people, performing sets live from his living room, during the events to help lift the lockdown gloom.
He said: “Playing in isolation was quite nerve-wracking. The atmosphere was very different because live you pick up the vibe from the audience and look around at the reactions. This was completely different.

MAKING AN INTRODUCTION: Rebecca-Anna Hosey is delighted her Flamenco inspired song has featured on BBC radio
AN aspiring singer-songwriter, whose ambition is to perform her work to “full stadiums”, says she is on the right track after her single Can’t Escape This featured on BBC radio last month.
Rebecca-Anna Hosey, from Barnard Castle, 20, originally wrote and composed the love song when she was just 11.
She said: “I wrote it and did make an early demo of it at The Hub.
“I rewrote the lyrics and put a demo track together for a university submission and after the feedback I got I knew I needed to record it properly.”

Andy Yeadon, left, is among those who will perform TURN on, tune in and help out. That’s the message from musical lockdown fundraisers who pulled in more than £12,000 for the NHS during lockdown with a hugely successful live-streamed concert.
Musicians Dave Kidd, James Brown, Ian Swinburn, Andy Yeadon and Luke Jordan and DJ Craig Campbell, streamed live sets from their living rooms in what they called BC Lockdown and Loaded in April.
The friends set out to raise £1,000 for the NHS, but such was the popularity and generosity of those tuned in, a staggering £12,000 was netted from the event.
