ANN ARBOR, MI There’s a colorful new mural at the intersection of Main and Liberty streets in downtown Ann Arbor, just in time for a public art celebration happening this week.
The local artist group known as the Brush Monkeys spent the weekend painting the street pavement, creating a 40-foot-wide radial design featuring a sun and moon, depictions of the lunar cycle, eyes, rainbows and other nature-inspired elements.
After multiple days of work, the mural was completed Sunday night, April 4, as onlookers stopped to appreciate it.

ANN ARBOR – In a recent update, Ann Arbor Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeanice Kerr Swift announced that the district is moving forward with plans to hold in-person graduation ceremonies this year.
Last year, all ceremonies were canceled due to concerns over the then-new coronavirus pandemic and each high school organized drive-thru events and virtual ceremonies for its seniors.
