MARION - Mark Street, between Ivanhoe Street and Hamilton Street, closed Tuesday for sewer repairs. It s expected to remain closed until 5 p.m. Friday.
HEAP deadline is Monday
ONTARIO - The District 5 Area Agency on Aging is reminding residents that May 31 is the deadline to apply for help paying winter heating bills through Ohio s Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
You can fill out the application by calling the Area Agency at 419-524-4144 or 800-860-5799 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Anyone age 18 and older may apply for this assistance. Those 60 & over can get assistance with filling out the application. All heating types are eligible for energy assistance programs.

The Chatham-Kent recreation department is planning to offer a full slate of programs in July and August across the municipality.

“We know that parents and caregivers have had a long year and are looking to find some stability in summer care and activities for their children,” manager of recreation services Ann Robinson said in a statement. “While we understand that provincial guidelines may change, we are excited to plan for a return of our camp programs and summer swimming lessons at this time.
