We’ve been doing some work behind the scenes to update Behat in Moodle. Those changes should be applied to all stable versions of Moodle in the weekly releases this week and I’d like to let you know a little about what that might mean for you.
The details of this issue are in MDL-66979.
What is changing?
Behat is made of many moving parts. Some of those can be swapped out for different implementations as required.
We will be changing two parts of the Behat implementation that we use:
we are migrating from
OAndreyev\Mink\Driver\WebDriver); and
After four years, Donald J. Trump will no longer be U.S. president.
Today, at 11:30am ET, the presidential inauguration of Joseph R. Biden will begin, with vice president Kamala Harris being sworn in shortly after and the president-elect himself being sworn in at 12pm. Performances from Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga will headline the swearing-in.
Various inaugural ceremonies will follow, including an address from Biden, a ‘Pass in Review on the East front’ with the military and, starting at 8:30pm, a Tom Hanks-hosted ‘Celebrating America’ special featuring the likes of John Legend, Justin Timberlake and Kerry Washington.
Trump, who has been blocked on multiple social networks for encouraging the deadly January 6th attacks on the U.S. Capitol, will not go to the inauguration. However, vice president Mike Pence, as well as former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, will be in attendance.

A Gainesville hypnotherapist has pleaded no contest to a charge of having sex with a client and was sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by 10 years’ probation.
Robert Andrew Nichols, 64, was arrested by Gainesville police in July 2019 after the woman reported the sexual activity began when she visited him for hypnotherapy sessions.
They ended the professional ties but continued to have sexual therapy, including ritual magic, the arrest report states.
Nichols was charged with being a psychotherapist engaging in sex with a client or former client. He pleaded no contest and was sentenced Tuesday by Eighth Circuit Judge Mark Moseley.
