BPD: Man charged with assault on officer

BLANCHESTER A local man was charged with assault on a peace officer after a recent incident.
On Tuesday morning, Feb. 9, Teresa Bowman of Orchard Circle called the police station and left a voicemail message saying she needed “help” at her residence.
“Luckily, an officer listened to that message within minutes of it being received,” stated Police Chief Scott Reinbolt in a news release. He added, “As always, residents needing police assistance should call the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center, not the police station. The Blanchester police station has not been staffed since 1994.”
Blan PD; Man charged with robbery
BLANCHESTER A man has been indicted on a robbery charge after a September incident.
In the early morning hours of Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, a 26-year-old Lebanon man phoned the Blanchester police station to report that he was robbed earlier in the night inside a residence in the 300 block of S. Wright St.
Later that day, Sgt. Gary Mowen traveled to Lebanon to interview the victim, who told Sgt. Mowen that he was at that address with a friend when Maxwell Sill robbed him of a cell phone and attempted to extort money from him, according to a news release from Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt. the victim said he was able to get away by claiming that he had alerted police by electronic means, causing his assailant and others to flee the house.

Warner was sworn in for his second term by Barbour County Sheriff Brett Carpenter at the start of the Barbour County Commission meeting Friday. Warner, originally elected in 2016, defeated Natalie Tennant for a second time in November, earning 58 percent of the votes cast.

A Dayton man is facing multiple charges after allegedly leading law enforcement officers on a vehicle chase that reached speeds over 120 mph while he had four juveniles riding with him.
At just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, Wilmington police received a report that the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Sabina police were in pursuit of a vehicle driving toward the city from Sabina at speeds over 120 mph.
