MOSCOW, May 27./TASS/. Moscow urges Yerevan and Baku to resolve all the emerging problems peacefully, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday following a telephone conversation between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko and EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar. The Russian side reaffirmed the appeal to the parties to settle all emerging problems peacefully, through negotiations. Russia is ready to continue to provide possible assistance to this process, the ministry said.
The doors of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) must always be open for all the states, including Azerbaijan, Russia’s deputy foreign minister Andrey Rudenko told the reporters, Izvestia says.
At the same time he noted that some provisions of the Charter of the Organization suppose diplomatic relations among the participants countries while now there is no such interaction between Baku and Yerevan.
“As soon as it is established, and we hope that it will happen sooner or later, in this case the issue may be put on the practical level,” Rudenko stressed.
