The federal government has announced about $2.45 million for unincorporated areas of Westmorland, Kent and Albert counties.
Local community centres, sports facilities, roads and wharves were eligible for funding under the Canada Community-Building Fund (the former Gas Tax Fund).
The
funding for 17 projects was announced on Wednesday in Irishtown by Beausejour MP and federal cabinet minister Dominic LeBlanc and New Brunswick Local Government Minister Daniel Allain.
The funding recipients included the Irishtown Community Centre where a new basketball court and soccer field will be built and upgrades will be made to the existing sports field.
Canada will soon have enough COVID-19 vaccines to fully vaccinate all eligible citizens
