Herself : Richly poignant empowerment drama

Four stars Starring: Clare Dunne, Harriet Walter, Ian Lloyd Anderson, Ruby Rose O’Hara, Molly McCann, Conleth Hill, Daniel Ryan, Erika Roe, Dmitry Vinokurov, Mabel Chah and Aaron Lockhart Rating: R, for profanity and vicious domestic violence Available via: Amazon Prime By Derrick Bang Enterprise film critic There’s a strong sense, throughout this superbly mounted little Irish drama, that star/co-scripter Clare Dunne writes from personal awareness. I dearly hope that isn’t the case. She stars as Sandra, a single mother with two young daughters, who has just escaped her possessive and abusive partner, Gary (Ian Lloyd Anderson). Although “the system” has kept a roof over their heads, bouncing them from one tiny hotel room to another, she’s barely scraping by. She works two part-time jobs, to keep them fed: as a pub barmaid and as a housekeeper for Peggy (Harriet Walter), an aging doctor for whom Sandra’s mother once worked, back in the day.

ASX Suffers from Longest Outage in A Decade, But What Does this Mean for Traders?

ASX Suffers from Longest Outage in A Decade, But What Does this Mean for Traders? IG In collaboration with IG On Monday 16 November, the Australian Stock Exchange opened for less than half an hour before software issues forced it to close for the remainder of the trading day. Although ASX Ltd. and technology provider Nasdaq identified the cause of the problem and corrected it so that the exchange could open as planned on Tuesday 17 November, the issue still caused a great amount of embarrassment and traders were left bemused by the third halt of trading in a decade. Further embarrassment was caused by the fact that the incident occurred on a day when ASX was celebrating the debut of a new trading system. The day-long shutdown was the longest shutdown for the exchange in well over a decade.
