The Maricopa County, Arizona, audit shows signature verification protocols were ignored
Election workers in an Arizona county allegedly skipped signature verification requirement protocols for mail-in ballots during the count for the November races, the leading auditor has revealed.
The Senate liaison to the Maricopa County election audit, Ken Bennett, dropped the bombshell after discovering that officials first lowered signature verification standards before ultimately disregarding them altogether.
According to Bennett, election workers informed auditors that the protocols were skipped, but county officials have denied the allegation.
Auditors say they found that protocols were initially being followed to a quite reasonable and high standard.
