Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh police have arrested a rebel MP of ruling YSR Congress party K Raghurama Krishnam Raju on charges of sedition after he had filed a petition before a special court seeking cancellation of the bail of Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Raju, who represents Narsapuram constituency in Parliament was arrested in Hyderabad on Friday night and shifted to Criminal Investigation Department at Guntur.
A team of officials led by additional Director General Sunil Kumar questioned the MP last night and throughout Saturday. According to the sources the CID wanted to know the sources of his information on the basis of which he was making comments on the state government and the Chief Minister. The CID officials also wanted to know who was extending technical support to him.

Amaravati, May 15 : The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Saturday struck down a bail petition filed by YSRCP MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju.
The Andhra Pradesh CID had arrested the disgruntled YSRCP MP from the Narsapur Lok Sabha constituency from his residence in Hyderabad on Friday. He was taken to Guntur for questioning.
Official sources said that through his speeches, Raju was reportedly indulging in a systematic and schematic effort to cause tensions among the communities, besides attacking various government dignitaries in a way that could cause loss of faith in the government which they represent.

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 16 (ANI): Andhra PradeshHigh Court on Saturday constituted a special divisional bench on the matter of injuries on the legs of YSRCP MP K Raghu Ramakrishna Raju who was in CID custody.
The High Court has further ordered to constitute a doctor s committee to check the injuries of Raju.
Advocates of the MP said that they are going to bring this matter to the notice of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. They are asking for CBI or NIA investigation.
