CRRC India, a subsidiary of the Chinese rolling stock and components conglomerate Nanjing Puzhen Co. Ltd, has set foot in Sri City to establish its manufacturing plant to make metro coaches.
This will be the second metro coach making plant in Sri City after Alstom. The company proposes to invest ₹350 crore and create 500 jobs.
Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy on Friday directed officials to explore the viability of establishing a mega IT office complex at , on the lines of Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad. Reddy directed officials to appraise any place near the millennium tower in the port city for the future IT park. The IT industry is the sector which can provide jobs in huge numbers, noted Reddy, even as the Mindspace complex standing on just nine acres of land in the Hitech city area of Hyderabad houses several companies and provides thousands of jobs. However, he observed that the Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy was not wishing for business process outsourcing jobs alone when they talked about IT jobs .

Amaravati, Feb 22 : At a time when campaigning for civic body polls in Andhra Pradesh has begun, the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) is busy celebrating more than 10,000 sarpanch post wins in all the four phases of the recently concluded panchayat elections. Elections were held for 13,095 positions, YSRCP aligned candidates won 10,524 sarpanch posts, 80.37 per cent, said Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy.
APIIC did not refund amount to the company since 2007
The Telangana High Court had directed the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) and the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) to refund to ITC company the ₹4.5 crore it had paid 14 years ago to the undivided APIIC.
Delivering a verdict in a writ petition filed by ITC Limited seeking refund of the money, a bench of Justices M.S. Ramachandra Rao and T. Amarnath Goud said the APIIC and the TSIIC should return the amount in the ratio of 58.32 : 41.68 within four weeks with 12% annual interest. Both the corporations were directed to pay ₹10,000 each as costs to the company.
