A man who is currently on probation in Duplin County for felony possession of a gun, and was arrested in March by Onslow County deputies for drugs, was arrested again this week accused of trafficking methamphetamine.
Justin Tyshaun Pickett, 29, was arrested on Thursday by Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit at the conclusion of an investigation in which he was found to be selling trafficking amounts of methamphetamine.
He was taken before a magistrate and charged with five counts of felony trafficking in methamphetamine, felony possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute methamphetamine, felony sell methamphetamine, felony deliver methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
A Hubert man has been arrested and charged after he allegedly distributed pornographic images of a former girlfriend on social media.
According to the Onslow County Sheriff s Office, on January 20, 2020 Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit detectives received a report that a female discovered private images of herself distributed over social media. The report was forwarded from the Tulsa, Oklahoma Police Department that Ryan Christopher Herndon, who had previously been in a relationship with the victim, distributed private images of her without her consent or knowledge.
Investigation revealed that Herndon, 34 years of age of Elm Street in Hubert gained access to the victim’s Facebook account through her cell phone which was reported as lost or stolen. During the investigation, Herndon left Onslow County and stopped all communication with detectives.
The Onslow County Sheriff s Office have arrested a Midway Park man on several felony drug charges with the help of the SBI and NCIS.
On Friday members of Onslow County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), with the assistance of the N.C. State Bureau of Investigation (Jacksonville Field Office) and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (Camp Lejeune Field Office) conducted a search warrant on Barbara Avenue in Midway Park, the residence of Joseph Bernard White and his brother Jason Christopher White.
During the search warrant, investigators found approximately one-half gram of crystal methamphetamine in (Jason) White’s bedroom.
Upon further search of the residence, numerous items of contraband were located: (7) firearms; (2) live smoke grenades (66) grams of crystal meth; (16) grams of heroin; (3) dosage units of heroin;(7) grams of Fentanyl; (1) gram of powder cocaine; (3) grams of Psilocin mushrooms; (4) dosage units of LSD; (28) dosage units of MDMA; (117) dosage

Deputies have put another alleged sex offender behind bars after a report came in about a Richlands man sexually abusing a child.
On Jan. 14 the Onslow County Sheriff s Office first received the report and began their investigation with their Special Victims Unit. On Feb. 3 deputies concluded their investigation after learning 24-year-old Caleb Michael Lee Sydes was allegedly sexually abusing a minor female.
Sydes and the victim are reported to have known each other as he is also accused of sending inappropriate pictures of himself to the girl.
Deputies arrested Sydes without incident. He resides on Gregory Fork Road in Richlands and is charged with two counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child 15 years or younger, felony incident liberties, felony solicit child by computer, and felony disseminating obscene material to a minor under the age of 16.
