NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol 1 Heads to the Switch
SNK revealed all of the 10 games present in
NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol 1, which is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch. In addition to all the fighting games available separately on the system, the compilation includes
Big Tournament Golf, Dark Arms, Metal Slug 1st Mission, and
Metal Slug 2nd Mission. It is also billed as the first volume, suggesting a second volume with more games could eventually appear. It is $39.99 for collection on the eShop.

The Neo Geo Pocket might not be spoken of with the same kind of revered tones as the Game Boy or even the Game Gear, but it should be. Small, stylish and with a dizzying array of fighting games to play, the Neo Geo hit streets before the turn of the millennium, but failed to capture consumer interest due to its high price. Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, we can now play the best the Neo Geo Pocket had to offer on the Nintendo Switch.
Fatal Fury First Contact is one of many entries in the Fatal Fury series, although it changes things up with a chibi art style, making many of the classic characters like Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui and Jo Higashi look quite cute while they all violently beat each other up.

SNK vs. Capcom: The Match of the Millennium, there’s an uncomfortable feeling that SNK’s Neo Geo Pocket library has already been picked clean before the collection’s really even started.
The amazing
SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash is still conspicuous by its absence (and is guaranteed to utterly destroy at least one writer’s productivity levels should it ever resurface on the Switch) but once you’ve got all the fighting and fighting-related games out of the way, what else does this portable Neo Geo have to offer?
