Italian producer Cattleya and ITV Studios to launch Spanish scripted label, Cattleya Producciones
Renowned Television Executive and producer Arturo Díaz named Managing Director
London, Rome, Madrid, 28 April, 2021 – Leading Italian producer Cattleya, part of ITV Studios, is to launch a new production company in Spain, called Cattleya Producciones. It will be ITV Studios’ first scripted production company in Spain and will specialise in the creation and production of high-end drama for Spain and the global market.
Located in Madrid, the new label will be headed up by Managing Director Arturo Díaz. He joins from Netflix, where he was Director, Local Language Originals, focused on Spanish speaking series, for almost five years. Polter, a former executive at Bavaria Fiction and StudioCanal-owned Tandem Productions, Polter will set up the new German fiction division under the auspices of ITV Studios. The label, which is still unnamed, will be launched later this year.
Polter will develop and produce high-end fiction series for the German-language market which ITV Studios will distribute internationally. He will report to Lisa Perrin, ITV Studios managing director of international production.

UK-based ITV Studios has poached Moritz Polter from Bavaria Fiction to launch a premium, international scripted label in Germany.

Polter is the exec producer behind Sky Deutschland original Das Boot as well as Freud for Netflix and Austrian pubcaster ORF, and Arctic Circle for ZDF, Elisa Viihde and YLE.
He will join ITV Studios and launch the as-yet unnamed scripted company later this year.
Based in Germany with an international scope, Polter will bring his expertise in the creation, financing and delivery of high-profile international productions to the new venture.
