Book Club
The Appleton Museum of Art announces its new virtual book club that will meet once a month on Zoom to discuss works nonfiction that have been hand selected by Appleton staff.
Led by Museum Educator Hollis Mutch, the book club is open to everyone. Participation is free and easy!
How to Participate
Step 1: Pick up your book now and begin reading. You can purchase the book at the Appleton’s store during the museum’s open hours. You can also find it online at various other retailers.
Step 2: Register for the group discussion via Eventbrite. You can find the link on the Appleton’s website at appletonmuseum.org. Zoom login details for the meeting will be sent in your confirmation email.

“I Hate Hamlet”: Live onstage at the Ocala Civic Theatre from Jan. 14-Feb. 7, the comedy “I Hate Hamlet” is set in New York City and centers around an actor who is cast as Hamlet, much to his chagrin. Bluegrass and BBQ: Live musical performances by bluegrass musicians Trinity River Band and Pasture Prime, as well as local artisans, will be featured as part of the Tuscawilla Art Park Series at the Tuscawilla Art Park, 223 NE Fifth St., Ocala, Jan. 22 from 6-9 p.m. Cash bar and BBQ from Big Lee’s Serious about BBQ food truck will be onsite.
