Eighteen professionals affiliated with Den Atelier are sharing their perspectives on how the pandemic has impacted the music industry and their own lives with Delano and Paperjam. They all answer a different question each week in a series called “What’s that sound”.
Question 1: How has the pandemic impacted your sector and more particularly you and your job so far?
Steffen Rabe, a booker with FKP Scorpio, who lives in Germany and has worked with Amanda Palmer, Pond and Gov’t Mule: “It’s all about postponing show by show (tour by tour) unfortunately. One of my tours I actually had to postpone for the fifth time. We can’t estimate the best touring period in future, so I am concentrating now on 2022. If an agent is focusing on a European tour, it is much more difficult because of the different situation in each country.”

We are on the home stretch in the 2021 AFLW season, with this round and next to determine the shape of the final six.
There will be two matches in Queensland this weekend, with the Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions hosting Carlton and North Melbourne respectively, with the latter match to serve as a curtain raiser to the men’s match between the Lions and Sydney Swans on Saturday night.
Elsewhere, the Giants will start hot favourites against the Cats in Geelong, while Collingwood – fresh off their first defeat of the season – will be heavily favoured to hit back when they tackle St Kilda at Victoria Park.

West Coast forward Imahra Cameron has produced a stunning second quarter to lead her side to a crushing 39-point AFLW win over Geelong in Perth.
Key points:
It is the Eagles second victory of the season
The Cats did not register a goal until late in the third quarter
Cameron booted three goals in the space of six minutes during a second-quarter blitz to set up the 8.5 (53) to 2.2 (14) triumph.
The result left Geelong winless after seven matches, while the Eagles now have two victories to their name.
