Well.I just melted.
This is Basil. A precious little Siamese mix who s available for adoption right now at the SPCA of Southwest Michigan. She s about 3 months old and
so sweet.
Basil was originally a barn kitten but that doesn t mean she shies away from people. In fact, as soon as I picked her up she made herself comfortable relaxing on my chest and shoulder. She also has an incredibly audible purr. It s adorable.
Since she s a kitten, and a barn kitten at that, she didn t display any hesitation with Katie s other animals at home. However, if you have another pet and are concerned about how they will get along, just contact the SPCA and they ll help you set up a little meet and greet. You can find all of the SPCA s information
We are heading into the heart of winter in Michigan, but that doesn t mean you can t have some fun.
If you have ever wanted to give ice fishing a go, now might be your time. I have never ice fished before and really wouldn t even know how to get started. If you are in my boat, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources has your back. The DNR is now going to teach you how with the Outdoor Skills Academy.
The Outdoor Skills Academy will host a series of Hard Water School classes to teach even the most amateur of people how to ice fish. These Hard Water School classes will be held outdoors in Cadillac and take place at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center in Mitchell State Park.
