WASHINGTON, D.C. â Tuesday morning President Joe Biden issued a proclamation officially marking the start of Pride Month in June.
Pride Month is celebrated every June as a tribute to those who were involved in the Stonewall Riots. On June 28th, 1969 police raided the Stonewall Inn, which was a gay club. The incident caused bar employees and neighborhood residents to riot outside the inn for six days.
