Space Exploration Technologies Corp. s (SpaceX) satellite internet arm Starlink has won a partial reprieve from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) by being allowed to launch ten satellites into polar orbit next month. SpaceX asked the FCC in November last year to allow it to target an upcoming launch date in December, and the grant is at the center of the company s controversial request to modify significant parameters of the satellite constellation.

Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) is well on its way to conduct a second test of its Starship next-generation launch vehicle platform. SpaceX tested the platform s SN8 prototype in December, marking the first time that an upper-stage test vehicle flew to a high altitude from the company s facilities in Boca Chica, Texas.
Following this, the company has now conducted crucial pre-testing activities for the SN9 prototype, including a static test fire. It has also managed to secure air traffic restrictions from the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA), with both of these developments presenting strong markers of a potential second Starship high-altitude test flight.

Orbital Exploration Technologies, Inc. (OrbitX), the country’s first commercial space venture, is targeting 2023–2024 for its first launch. Its rocket, the Haribon SLS-1, will be propelled by two of the company’s other innovations: the Tamaraw Rocket Engine and RP-2 fuel, a renewable rocket fuel derived from plastics.
Haribon SLS-1 is in Technology Readiness Level 4, or the level in which components are validated in a laboratory environment, and can carry approximately 200 kilograms in low earth orbit (an orbit with altitude ranging from 200–300 kilometers to 1,600 kilometers).
