The new spring schedule released Friday will push back the Giants’ Cactus League opener by a day, but the team will still play a full slate of exhibition games.
The Angels remain the Giants’ first opponent, with the game now scheduled for noon PDT on Feb. 28 at Scottsdale Stadium. The Giants will play 14 home games in all and the Bay Bridge Series against the A’s still will wrap up the exhibition schedule but now will be in Arizona. Perhaps it should be renamed the Loop 101 Series?
