She will serve in the role for the duration of Shepherdâs time as Interim Superintendent.
Grubb is no stranger to the students of Floyd County, as she has worked for the district for the past 25 years.
She began her teaching career at Martin Elementary, then moving on to May Valley. Grubb has 16 years of in-classroom experience with Head Start and Preschool students.
While at May Valley, Grubb coordinated the May Valley Born Learning Academy and was also the Curriculum Lead for Floyd County Head Start.
âI am blessed, honored and excited to embark on this new journey. I believe that a key element in being successful in school and in life is starting with a strong foundation and this foundation begins in early childhood,â said Grubb.

The Lafayette Parish School System wants to help you enroll your children in early childhood programs next week.
The LPSS Early Childhood Department is hosting a special event Wednesday and Thursday, June 2-3, to assist parents of kids ages birth to 5 with completing an application. It will be at the Vermilion Conference Center, located at 326 Gauthier Road, and will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days.
At the event, parents can learn about the early childhood programs available in Lafayette Parish, as well as options for child-care assistance and funding. LPSS Early Childhood staff will be available to answer questions and help parents review options and select a program that fits their family s needs, according to a district release.

According to the Fiscal Impact Report for HJR 1, even with an increased distribution of 1.25%, the fund will double to $44 billion in 20 years while the population will not.
