The Water Research Foundation Issues Requests For Proposals For Projects On Stormwater And Biological Nutrient Removal The Water Research Foundation (WRF) has released Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for two projects funded through WRF’s Research Priority Program. This strategic program enables WRF to address broadly relevant subscriber issues, challenges, and opportunities with targeted research that lasts three to five years. The project details are as follows: This project will develop a guidebook with comparison case studies to advance the quantification and monetization of benefits and co-benefits of green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) at the community level. The project team will synthesize comparison case studies that have used a rigorous analysis framework for quantifying the benefits and co-benefits of GSI at a national scale, including those from two existing WRF projects. Earlier this week, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) helped pass a spending package in Congress that allocates $22 million in funding for the Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives in 2021. The Dairy Business Innovation Alliance (DBIA), a partnership between the Center for Dairy Research (CDR) and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), is one of three centers that are funded by the Dairy Business Innovation Initiatives. DBIA will be submitting a proposal in 2021 to secure additional funding as a result of this latest budget allocation. “In these challenging times, we must continue to focus on innovation and assist the growth of artisan dairy products, as they will add-value that can be returned back to our dairy farmers,” said John Lucey, CDR Director.

To help motorists plan for safe travel, SDDOT has long offered free, up-to-date road camera images and information on road and weather conditions, road closures, construction work zones, commercial vehicle restrictions, and traffic incidents by phone, web page, and a mobile app. “Safety on our roadways is our number one priority,” says Interim Transportation Secretary Joel Jundt. “Whether people are traveling during a winter snow event or the height of road construction season, access to real-time road conditions is crucial.”
