San Bernardino County had confirmed 293,835 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began as of Monday, and the death toll is now 4,237.
San Bernardino County, which is the state s fifth-most populous county with 2.2 million people, has the third-highest number of cases of any county in California. It trails Los Angeles County the nation s most populous county with about 10 million people, which leads the state with more than 1.2 million reported cases and Riverside County, which has about 2.5 million people and just over 295,000 cases.
San Bernardino County s positivity rate was 2% as of last Tuesday (over a seven-day average). The county s adjusted case rate is 3.4 new cases per 100,000 residents. This means the county is in the orange tier (which allows non-essential indoor businesses to open with limitations), in the state s color-coded, four-tiered reopening plan.
