Western Australiaâs Chief Health Officer Andy Robertson insists he isn t being muzzled after it was revealed he hasn t spoken at a government press conference in more than 100 days despite Premier Mark McGowan regularly referring to his health advice when it comes to the state s border decisions.
In the past six months, the stateâs top adviser during the coronavirus pandemic has fronted government press conferences on two occasions, one on September 26 while in Port Hedland responding to an outbreak on an iron ore carrier, and another on November 16, when he sat in the front row as Mr McGowan outlined WA s decision to close its border with South Australia.
