The Ministry of Health (Minsa) signed an inter-institutional collaboration agreement with the National Society of Mining, Oil, and Energy (SNMPE) and sector companies such as Southern Peru Copper Corporation Compañía Minera Antamina S.A. (Antamina Mining Company), and Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde S.A. (Cerro Verde Mining Society). The document stipulates that medical oxygen will be imported from the neighboring country of Chile during six months. It was signed by Health Minister Oscar Ugarte, Southern Finance Vice-President Jacob Ruisanchez, Antamina General Manager Victor Gobitz, Cerro Verde Corporate Affairs Vice-President Julia Torreblanca, and SNMPE General Manager Pablo de La Flor.
