Although the provincial public health authority’s morning report put the number of doses administered at 2,967,209 on Wednesday morning, Health Minister Christian Dubé announced on Twitter mid-afternoon that Quebec’s 3 millionth dose had been given by the afternoon.
3,298,629 doses have been received by the province so far, in total, with 137,200 doses of Moderna still expected this week.
The Province of Quebec reported 1,094 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total number of people infected to 347,690. Although that figure represented an increase of nearly 200 compared to the previous day’s number, the total number of active cases still decreased, dropping below 10,000 for the first time since March to reach 9,948.
