One day after issuing a “don’t panic” message, while maintaining plans to ease restrictions, the Quebec government announced Wednesday that in critical zones where there is an “explosion” of new COVID-19 infections, new restrictions will be imposed for 10 days.
The affected areas include: the Quebec City region, Chaudière Appalaches south of the capital, the Lower St. Lawrence and the Outaouais, including Gatineau, across the Ottawa River from Ottawa, and will move from the orange zone to the red zone.
Legault expected to announce crackdown in orange zones later today
