Tel Aviv [Israel], December 20 (ANI): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday became the first Israeli to receive the coronavirus vaccine, kick-starting the vaccination process in the country.
Prime Minister Netanyahu hailed the start of the vaccination process in the country as the very great day for Israel.
Speaking at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, where he became the first Israeli to receive the vaccine, he pledged that millions of doses will arrive by the end of the month and urged all Israelis to be vaccinated.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has received a COVID-19 vaccine jab, kicking off a national roll-out over the coming days.
Netanyahu, 71, and his health minister were injected on Saturday with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine live on TV at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv.
“I asked to be vaccinated first, together with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, to serve as personal examples and encourage you to be vaccinated,” Netanyahu told the television audience.
“This is a very moving moment,” he said, adding businesses would soon be able to resume work and people will be able to earn a living as before.

PM Binyamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein went on television Saturday night to receive the first injections of the coronavirus vaccine as an encouraging example for the general public to come forward for their shots.
The vaccination program kicks off on Sunday with the first jabs assigned to hospital and other medical personnel, followed by high-risk and elderly people.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a Covid-19 vaccine jab on Saturday, kicking off a national rollout over the coming days.
Netanyahu, 71, and Israel’s health minister were injected with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine live on TV at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein received the first doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine in Israel on Motzoei Shabbbos at an event that was live-streamed as part of the campaign to encourage the public to get the vaccine.
“It’s a small shot for a person and a huge step toward the health of us all,” the prime minister said.
They were inoculated at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer by the prime minister’s doctor, Dr. Zvi Herman Berkowitz.
