Israel and the United Kingdom are exploring the creation of a âgreen travel corridorâ between the two countries, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahuâs office said in a statement.
During a meeting on Tuesday at the Prime Ministerâs Office in Jerusalem, Netanyahu and visiting British Cabinet Minister Michael Gove discussed mutual recognition of their countriesâ âgreen passportsâ for citizens fully vaccinated against COVID-19. No timeline has yet been unveiled for the plan.
Netanyahu and Gove also talked of increasing cooperation in the research, development and production of vaccines and in combating future viruses. Gove said that Britain is interested in learning from Israelâs experience in returning to a post-pandemic routine.

On Tuesday, Netanyahu and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced Israel has purchased 9 million additional doses of the Pfizer vaccine that will arrive in 2022.

Iran and world powers have made some progress on how to revive the 2015 nuclear accord that the United States pulled out of in 2018, with an interim deal possibly being a way to gain time for a lasting settlement.
“We are on the right track and some progress has been made, but this does not mean that the talks in Vienna have reached the final stage,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said.
This comes as Israeli ministers have expressed concern about the ongoing indirect negotiations taking place to bring back Tehran and Washington into full compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that Israel was preparing for a second COVID-19 vaccination drive in six months that is also slated to include children. Brace your shoulders and the children too because according to our estimates the vaccines will be approved for children by then, Netanyahu said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Israelis on Tuesday in a joint briefing with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein to “get your shoulders ready and your children,” for the next round of coronavirus vaccine booster shots in another half year.
Speaking in a live broadcast from his office in Jerusalem, Netanyahu said he had come to the briefing “from a discussion with the Health Minister and health system people, following my agreement with the CEOs of Pfizer and Moderna on the additional supply of another 16 million vaccines for the citizens of Israel,” Netanyahu said.
