While government leaders work to vaccinate greater numbers of people, they face obstacles in the form of misinformation, public health, and personal privacy.  Israel recently celebrated the 4 millionth Israeli to get their first vaccination shot. Out of that four million, nearly three million have had both shots. That s quite an accomplishment for a country of just over nine million citizens. Israel has seen more than 700,000 COVID-19 cases and 5400 deaths.

Meanwhile, Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip received 1,000 doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, though it may take at least a few more months for their campaigns to reach enough members of the population. 1,629 people have died so far in the West Bank, while 543 have died in Gaza.
