THE North Wales Health Board has apologised after long queues at Deeside s vaccination centre earlier this week. Concerns were raised that long queues were forming at Deeside s vaccination centre for over 30 minutes , despite the vaccine itself taking less than a minute . Readers contacted the Leader to express their concerns that elderly people were left standing outside to wait in the cold weather. Dr Chris Stockport, Executive Director of Primary and Community Care, said: “We are aware there were delays at our Mass Vaccination Centre at Ysbyty Enfys Deeside earlier this week. We apologise to everyone who experienced a long wait for their vaccine. On Tuesday due to staff sickness we reduced the number of vaccinating lanes from 10 to 8, the issue was later resolved and the lanes went back up to 10.
