Considering the continued threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has strongly advised interested applicants for the July 18 Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) to schedule first an appointment before they appear at its Regional Office (RO) or Field Office (FO) to submit their requirements.

The CSC said the applicants may personally file their applications provided that they schedule an appointment before appearing at RO/FO to submit the requirements.
It said applications may be received via courier filing, where the applicant may submit the requirements via courier and pay the examination fee through designated payment facilities; or any other alternative mode/s as may be determined by the CSC RO.

Due to the Covid-19 situation all airlines have been informed to limit their passengers to Sri Lanka to 75 per aircraft (including crew members) for a period of two weeks from tomorrow (03) according to Chairman, Civil Aviation Authority.
Meanwhile Srilankan Airlines have provided a list of guidelines for passengers travelling into Sri Lanka (issued on 26th April)

A.1 Approvals to enter into the country.
A.1.1 If Sri Lankan Citizens (including Sri Lankan Seafarers arriving by air) or Dual Citizens (if using the Sri Lankan passport to arrive) staying in a designated Quarantine Hotel after arriving in Sri Lanka, they do not need to get the prior approval from the Foreign Ministry and Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka to arrive in Sri Lanka. They have to liaise with the airline and arrive in Sri Lanka after booking the Quarantine Hotel.

Foreign Office updated travel advice for France, Spain, Italy, Dubai and Greece Cathy Owen
It will be May 17 at the very earliest before foreign travel is permitted in the UK - but some countries across the world have been updating travel advice.
This week, Greek authorities have said that UK travellers with proof of two Covid-19 vaccinations completed at least 14 days before travel will be exempt from self-isolation when they are allowed to travel to the country.
Under the new traffic light system in England, people arriving in the UK from a green country will not be required to self-isolate, but those entering from an amber destination must quarantine for 10 days.

The government has rolled out a “Pass Track App” application to maintain the data of passengers traveling to Pakistan.
The application will be effective from May 1, 2021.
The app will be a mandatory requirement and no exception in this regard shall be allowed.
ISLAMABAD: In order to curb the coronavirus spread, the government has rolled out a “Pass Track App” application to maintain the data of passengers traveling to Pakistan and also to track them.
As per the decision, it would be mandatory for all passengers to submit their requisite information/data through the said application.
