The Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is being distributed again in Oklahoma, with state health department officials telling providers they can start administering the shot again.The restart of administering the one-dose shot comes with a warning about the extremely rare blood clots that federal regulators were concerned about that caused the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to be temporarily paused.Oklahoma State Department of Health officials said they told providers Friday night that they could start the Johnson & Johnson vaccine immediately, so the Sooner State should hopefully expect to see some appointments opening up soon. All this after health officials said first-dose vaccinations have slowed in Oklahoma. I would not say that’s necessarily due to Johnson & Johnson, although that’s a contributing factor, Deputy Health Commissioner Keith Reed said.
