Kingston, Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Public Health medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore is in line for a promotion.
In a news release on Saturday, the provincial government announced its intention to appoint Moore as Ontarioâs next chief medical officer of health, following the retirement of Dr. David Williams, who currently holds the position, at the end of June.

Thousands of doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine in Ontario may not be used due to problems with storage data.
While about 16,500 doses have passed quality control scrutiny and either have been or will be shipped out to pharmacies, about 13,000 doses are still being reviewed.

Thousands of doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine were at risk of being wasted due to problems with storage data.
About 17,000 of the impacted doses passed quality control scrutiny and either had been or will be shipped out to pharmacies by Friday, but another 13,000 doses were still being reviewed by Thursday.
